Q: When I request activation of my www.OnetoAnother.com storefront, what actually happens?
When can I start promoting my storefront's notecard and print product offerings? Start recruiting others, such as
Christian Organizations for fundraising?
A: Typically, within 48 hours from the time of
your request, we will spring into action for
you. First, we will contact you using the phone number(s) you provided us, taking time then to answer
any additional questions you might have. Then together we will setup your storefront; this should only
take a few minutes to accomplish as we interview & collect setup information from you such
as name, address, etc. Immediately following activation of your store, you will be able to begin
recruiting and/or directing others to your store's unique web address, something like
www.OnetoAnother.com/xxxx, where "xxxx" represents a unique code, up to 10 characters, chosen by you
(e.g., your initials). Also, just let us know if you would like us to create and send you via e-mail a logo featuring your storefront that you could then use on your business cards and other promotional materials.

Upon entering your online store, your prospective customers will find an
ever-expanding selection of beautiful Christmas & inspirational note cards to choose from; having an opportunity to select their own
assortment; comprising a box of twelve note cards for $10.95. Even better, should your customer purchase more than one box when placing their order, all additional boxes are discounted by $1.00 to $9.95
each. This works out to just 83 to 91 cents each; terrific prices for upsized note cards of this beauty
and quality which typically sell for $1.79 individually. Better yet, these prices include all order handling and shipping costs, and sales tax is only charged when someone residing in Kansas is buying!
For your effort, you earn a $3.50 commission for each sold box of note cards, regardless of what
price paid by your customer (which by the way, currently represents 60% of the gross profit margin derived from the sale of each box of note cards). Also, your online store shoppers can also buy giclee limited edition prints for only $14.95 each. And finally, from the home page of your OneToAnother.com website, your prospective recruits can click on several available links to learn about fundraising, website affiliation, "and/or" refer-to-earn for your potential benefit.
Also, during your store activation process, you will be requested to establish a password designed to
permit you access anytime of any day to your OnetoAnother's storefront back office functions
(http:www.OnetoAnother.com/backoffice). This websites' resources can keep you informed about your store
operations (e.g., your storefront's customer purchases; your commission earnings, including commissions resulting from your recruits' storefront sales; etc.); notify us about changes to your
e-mail address, phone, account password, etc.; and enable you to communicate with us.
Q: How can I team with you "doing business" as an entity other than an individual; such as a Partnership, LLC, C-Corporation?
A: When activating your storefront, you will be asked how you intend on doing business
with us. Your choices are: 1) as an Individual, Sole Proprietor, LLC, S-Corporation or Partnership,
subject to IRS 1099 reporting, or 2) as a United States (US) recognized C-Corporation.
Performing as an "Independent Contractor", you will be responsible for your own accurate and timely
declaration and payment of all income tax obligations you might incur as a result of your commission
earnings, as required by Federal, State & Local governing authorities. Prior to March of each year
as specified by law, we may provide you and the IRS with a 1099 Statement detailing your commissions
paid the previous year. However, please note that we at Cedar Stone Design assume responsibility
for accurate and timely payment of state sales tax collection obligations resulting from sales
transacted on all OnetoAnother online storefronts.
Q: My marketing strategy will primarily focus on nearby metropolitan opportunities. So
how can I know if where I live is already too saturated with OnetoAnother.com Marketing Affiliates?
A: For us to answer your question, please enter your zip
code below. Then you will be provided the number of active Marketing Affiliates and Non-Profit
Christian Organizations (i.e., fundraising) residing within a 100-mile radius of your neighborhood.
Please keep in mind that many of our Affiliates do not necessarily limit their marketing efforts to
where they live; as for example, they may be only marketing their OnetoAnother.com storefront from
their other website.
Q: Can I consider marketing to nearby retailers on a wholesale or consignment
basis?
A: Yes, with regards to our notecards, this marketing strategy has successfully worked for us in our surrounding metro marketplace. We have wholesale and consignment notecard product placements throughout the city; within Christian bookstores (including Church-based stores), specialty gift stores (including Hospital-based stores), family-friendly cafes & coffee houses, and grocery stores.
First, please understand that when marketing our note cards thru a "brick & mortar" resale channel, each note card will be sold individually (i.e., as a "counter" card) for a Suggested Retail Price (SRP) of $1.79, as preprinted on the back of our cards along with a unique bar-coded card identifier (click here for example). This SRP of $1.79 actually represents a great value, as comparable counter note card offerings from other publishers are typically priced at $2.50 or more.
When selling wholesale to retailers, keep in mind that the typical retailer is expecting to achieve a 50% profit margin, meaning they will be willing to pay you $.89 per card so that they can make $.90 on each card sold. So let's assume that your average card cost, when self-acquiring from your OnetoAnother.com store, is $.54 (i.e., $10.95 less $1.00 multi-box discount less $3.50 commission also taken as an immediate discount, divided by 12 cards); thereby netting you a $.35 profit per card. This nearly 40% profit margin is actually a terrific return for you, especially when considering that the industry standard for sales rep commissions for this product category is only 20% of wholesale!
You might also consider marketing to nearby "brick & mortar" retail businesses on a consignment basis; thereby enhancing your overall placement success rate. By doing so, your gross profit margin will be also enhanced to 50%, netting you $.54 profit per each card sold (60% of $1.79 less your cost of $.54), as retailers will typically be willing to accept a lower 40% profit margin when selling your consigned product inventory. But please keep in mind that "consignment" means that you do not profit until your note card is sold on the premises of you retail partner.
Regardless of which product placement arrangement you offer (i.e., wholesale and/or consignment), a key to your success will be for you to regularly (e.g., 30-60 day cycle) physically visit your retail accounts to count consignment inventory, restock, and invoice for consignment sales & wholesale restocking orders. Also key for your success will be that you are willing to offer your retail accounts 30-day payment terms (an industry standard) as well as acquire a full set of note card designs to "show & tell" your prospective retail accounts.
In many cases, especially book and gift stores, your retailers may already have
enough card rack space available for displaying our note cards. But quite often, your retailers
will be looking to you for a complete merchandising solution ... note cards, spinner display and signage.
We can work with you with providing such a solution, actually enabling you to offer your
prospective retailer several options to consider - ranging from a space saving 20-pocket
"counter-top" spinner (click here for example) to a 32, 40, or 48-pocket spinner configuration. Just give us a call. Please keep in mind, when offering such a complete solution on a wholesale basis, you will need to aggressively price as retailers do not want to be paying for fixture and signage, as they can only resale note cards. So in this case, you need to be primarily looking to follow-on restocking orders to achieve you profit objectives. We can also provide, at no charge, digital samples of paperwork forms such as Consignment Agreements, Consignment Ledger, Invoice/Statement, etc.
Q: How much do I get paid for my marketing success and when?
A:
You earn a commission whenever your storefront transacts the purchase of a print or an assortment box
of note cards, earning you $3.50 for each box or print sold to someone else.
Of course, should at a later time a customer request that their purchase be refunded or we never received their check/money order, then your
"commission earnings" account would be likewise credited. You also earn "recruiter override"
commissions on net sales transacted on your recruits' storefronts; $1.00 for each print or box of cards sold. Also note that should any of your Marketing Affiliate recruits later deactivate
their OnetoAnother.com storefronts (see below for further details about storefront deactivation),
then you would be instantly awarded "storefront ownership" of their customers (meaning you will now begin earning $3.50 "per box/print" commission of all future purchases by these "inherited" customers).
Your commission check is prepared and mailed no later than 20 days following the end of each
calendar month. However, such check will be prepared only if your accumulated "net" commission earnings
balance at the conclusion of a month is at least $100.00; otherwise, payment will be delayed
until such balance minimum is reached. Of course, at anytime, you can notify us of your desire to
deactivate your storefront; in which case a commission check will be promptly prepared for you,
regardless of amount owed. "Net" commission earnings is defined as any earned sales and "recruiter override"
commissions still payable to you, less any customer purchase refunds and monies owed for your
self-purchases of OnetoAnother products.
Q: Will I be held accountable to a Code of Conduct?
A: Yes. Our Team's Code of Conduct is as follows:
- Foremost, as we pledge to you, we would expect you to honor the Lord in all your ways as it pertains to conducting your OnetoAnother.com marketing activities.
- Honor your fellow teammates (i.e., other Marketing Affiliates) by not intentionally swaying their existing customers to begin buying from your storefront. However, even if you did attempt to do this, such efforts would not benefit you because OnetoAnother.com is designed to both automatically detect and safeguard against “customer poaching”.
- Honor us at Cedar Stone Design by honestly identifying yourself to us
(e.g., as being twenty-one years or older; most current e-mail address, home address,
phone; accurate “doing business as” designation & tax id; etc.), and keeping such information current.
- Honor your prospective customers & recruits, whom you do not already personally know,
by not making unsolicited telephone "cold calls" to them (although a follow-up call, after mailing a promotional piece, to a prospective fundraising organization or retailer is permissible), by not sending them unsolicited “spam” e-mails, and by not sending e-mails which intentionally mask “sent by” origin. Alternatively, you could consider doing something like this
inside card example of an actual
note card transformed into a recruiting tool by hand addressing and mailing to a prospective youth pastor, school administrator, etc. If interested in marketing this way, then just let us know via e-mail; we will allow you to chose 100 cards at a time as very low cost of $25 (shipping included).
- Likewise, honor your customers by letting them "opt-out" from receiving unwanted promotional e-mails from you; as well as comply with all other regulations stipulated by the Can-Spam Act of 2003. By the way, you may be interested in knowing that Cedar Stone Design will only send promotional e-mails on your behalf to existing customers who have purchased OnetoAnother product and that have not requested us to refrain from sending them such e-mails. At the bottom of each promotional e-mail we send out will be a clearly referenced website link designed for the e-mail recipient to easily request us to no longer send them our promotional e-mails; as well as an option for the recipient to alternatively mail us their “unsubscribe” request.
- Any flagrant violation of our Team's Code of Conduct will result in the deactivation of the offending Marketing Affiliate's OnetoAnother.com storefront.
Q: Can my OnetoAnother.com storefront ever be deactivated?
A:
Yes, for one of three reasons. First, because you requested us, via e-mail, to deactivate your
storefront. Second, because of a flagrant Code of Conduct violation, resulting in an immediate
deactivation. The third reason to deactivate would be failure to comply with our sales quota,
defined as achieving a minimum of either a combination of 25 prints or note card boxes sold (including self-purchases) from your own storefront or a combined 100 from your recruits' stores, continuously
over each rolling 90-day time period. Before deactivating an "under-achieving" storefront,
the impacted Marketing Affiliate would be notified one week in advance via e-mail before taking
such action. Regardless of reason for a storefront deactivation, all unpaid commission earnings
still owed to a deactivated storefront's Marketing Affiliate would be paid immediately following
such deactivation.
Q: Okay so far, but what else do I need to know about our Teaming Arrangement?
A: Just a few more things..
- First, for us to be able to absorb the cost of shipping product,
all order shipments will be geographically restricted to United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
This means that we can only team with Marketing Affiliates and sell to their customers who reside
within the United States.
- Second, we do publish a Customer Privacy Notice on OnetoAnother.com, informing
your customers that we would never share their personal information (e.g., name, address, phone,
e-mail address, etc.) with other third-parties (e.g., merchants, bulk mail marketers, etc.); that
we always encrypt their stored and transmitted charge card account information using a 128-bit
digital certificate supplied by a Trusted Certificate Authority to create Secured Socket Layer (SSL)
connections with both their browser and financial networks; that we incorporate numerous charge card
fraud detection measures, including charge card security code verification; that we allow them to
elect whether they would want us to expedite their next "password protected" checkout experience
by automatically displaying their previously provided name and address information (but never previous payment information, as we do not retain such information in accordance with commerce regulations); that we
would never deposit "cookies" or "spyware" onto their computers; and that we enable them to
easily unsubscribe from receiving promotional e-mails from us.
- Third, an ability for your customers to purchase
e-GiftCards (to have us send via e-mail as gifts to others) is planned for late 2007. Just like our box of note cards, our e-GiftCard offering will sell for $10.95 each,
resulting in a $3.50 commission for each e-GiftCard sold.
Recipients of such e-GiftCards will be able to redeem by selecting their own assortment box of
note cards.
- And finally, we accept several forms of payment. When paid by your customer's Master Card/Visa charge/debit card, their financial account will not be charged until we ship their purchased products. We also permit your customer to pay by mailing us a check or money order. We offer them this payment option on the "honor system", meaning that they are only obligated to mail us their payment after they receive and are satisfied with their purchased products.
So that's our opportunity for you. Are you ready to join our team?
